Being productive

So here it is. Another blog for the web to swell with. I guess it was just a matter of time before I'd have one of my own, since I basically live online.

I work all day in my cube, and the web is there distracting me all day long. I must be some kind of superhero office worker, let me tell you. I manage to get my work done, in a pretty spectacular fashion, I might add, all while wasting time doing crosswords, reading articles, webcomics, blogs, wikipedia, solitaire, and of course, facebooking. And now I'm adding blogging!

This will surely evolve over time, as I have no clear subject matter in mind for this. I appreciate all the bloggers out there who have specific genres they espouse on (upon?) but it's not a place that I'm at yet. (wait, maybe I meant to say "expound" instead of "espouse"...meh)

Writing is something I've enjoyed for almost as long as I can remember. Most of it has just been for me, and you'll never convince me that online blogging is better than a trusty paper notebook and pen. But of course, this is the digital age, and I figured it was about time to stop being a chicken-shit and let others read what I have to say.

I'm no literary prick or grammar asshole, which is funny because good grammar excites me. And, linguistics and language are major interests of mine. Despite that, I'm sure this blog will be replete with errors and misused words, so just deal with it. Also, as is my humor, I like to misuse words purposely at times because I think it's pretty damn funny, so I suppose that'll keep you guessing on whether or not I'm a genius, or mildly retarded.
